I called up the holonovel menu, I had ordered a small holoprojection unit for my quarters, and pulled up some ancient Science Fiction vid. My soup was just the right temp and I was content with that for awhile. I suddenly realized I was done eating and had started snoozing so I went to bed.

::I took my coffee from the replicator and sipped it quickly, burning my tongue abit, then responded to the blippitybleeleep I heard, the tone announcing I had a visitor.::
"Come in"
Tass came in, and delivered her report on our ETA.
"Thank you, Commander. I had best get to the Bridge then. Looks like breakfast will have to wait. You didn't have to come all the way down here, or were you headed this way anyway?"
::I took a few larger gulps of my now cooled down coffee, thinking I had best get it down while I had the chance.::

"Hmm, yummy. That does sound good. Well, I think we may have more time right then we will later. I expect for the first few hours we will not have much to do but take readings and analyze them, but the computer can do most of that. Take a good break and I promise, later on, I'll mix up my great-grandmothers recipie for Apple Fritters. I have never made them as well as she, but the recipie is still pretty good despite that." ::I chuckled at the memory of my g'g's kitchen, the smell of freshly peeled apples, watching as she peeled the whole apple without stoping, leaving a nice even band of peel.::
"I'll tell you an interesting theory my g'g had about those peels, later on. Right now, I'm on my way to the bridge."
::I put my cup back into the replicator for recycling and walked over to my desk. Picking up a Padd I turned toward the door.::
