I do suggest you drop the "Enterprise-" part of the name - as it just doesn't sound right - The Enterprise is another ship - with it's own stories.

Good point. the name was actualy my friends idea. I think the U.S.S. Luxembourg NCC-75232 will have great missions soon.

Great name, great design (as always Kev). Specs would be nice to read through too.

I have a massive collection of Trek blueprints - and have been designing my own for years - I'm also into creating blueprints. By the end of the year - there'll be exclusive blueprints on the site - including your ship - all the specs are also written since I'm a Treknology buff. I'm also using CGI to build the ships in 3D ready for a few short movies showing the ships flying through space - so expect a shot of the U.S.S. Luxembourg

Why not make the U.S.S. Luxembourg[/b] one of the Xenon-Class[/b] quick strike ships with both the capabilities of the regular Defiant but also frontal aerowing separation, dorsal phaser turret, & planetfall capability? Instead of upgrading to "larger & more cumbersome", why not go the other direction with smaller, faster, better-armed, & more manueverable & generally easier to camoflage once you've arrived on a planet to do some damage? I'd go with an "Elite Force" type vessel for Panther Wing for the Luxembourg...hit the enemy hard, fast, & then get the hell out of dodge...weaving through phaser volleys dispatched from somewhat larger, clumsier adversaries while ~you~ launch automated "decoy-probes" (no need for them to be bigger than golf balls,) to distract, temporarily confuse & detonate enemy torpedoes or lure fightercraft sensors away from ~you~ & your shields. forums.trek-network.com/index.php?showtopic=7392&st=0entry145577
