Just to put this in too protect everyone involved--These are the intellectual property's of David/Leigh Eddings. They are being used for entertainment purposes only. The Elenium: A much darker,Fantasy series. Does have alot of politically motivated plot, but if you want Knights,Princesses, and fighting this is the series for you!! Feel free to add your opinions, discussions, thoughts whatever

Instead of doing it book by book I am going to do an overall review of the series. Probably not the best way I will grant you that. Knowing me it will eat away at me after awhile and I will end up doing individual reviews of the books but I figure an overall review first may get a bite out of some of the members and get them to read the series-LOL- First off Yes there is alot in common with the Bel/Mal series but there is so much that is different that whoever came up with that little gem of so called wisdom needs to actually read and appreciate the books for what they are, Epic fantasy at it's best. The character's are so much different than the one's in the Bel/Mal(there can be some extrapolition made between some of the character's yes,but the way they re-act and become themselves are much different). These books have their own special brand of Epic fantasy that can not be borrowed, or re-hashed without it being glaringly obvious. The Elenium, set in a darker more politically controlled world, A more church controlled world(not unlike the dark ages,of Earth, where the church virtually controlled the world) The church knights are the only thing that stands before the Primate Annias(an essentially evil man) and the Arch-Prelates throne(think the pope). These men stand for honor and goodness can they stop the tide of Evil from taking over? You bet your life they can!! The way they do it may be a different approach but that is the heart of the story. All in all this series deserves a good rating and from me at least it get's a thumbs up.
