Just to put this in too protect everyone involved--These are character quotes and they are intellectual property of David/Leigh Eddings. They are being used for entertainment purposes only.
Anyone who has read the books know's a few of these gem's that have been used in various books. I thought That putting a list up here would be kind of entertaining... #1 Belgarath in the Seress of Kell " I wish Beldin were here. He could explain it in a minute. Of course none of us would understand the explanation, but he'd explain it all the same. " #2 Garion " Any time there's something so ridiculous dangerous that no rational human being would even consider trying it, they send for me. " # 3 Llelldoran when talking to Garion "Of course I didn't kill him. All I did was run him through the leg - just a little bit. " #4 Mandorallen starting a fight with a grolim " My Lord, I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offense against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fir which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornement for a human face. Is it possible that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat? " #5 Silk when entering TolNedra " It's good to be back in Tolnedra again. I love the smell of deceit, corruption and intrigue. " Enough for now If you have any that you think belong here than please feel free

Here's a few more for you Durnik in Pawn of Prophecy:#1 Alway's finish what you put your hand too #2 Alway's do the very best job you can. #3 That's the way of boy's,I was questionsome myself when I was a boy.My father and old Barl, the smith that taught me,where patient enough to answer what they could.I'd repay them poorly if I didn't have the same patience with Garion.
Belgarath in Pawn of Prophesy: #1 I haven't consorted with many kings of late,Faldor,They all seem to busy to listen to the old tales, and a story must be told time to time if it is not to be lost--besides,who know's these day's where a king might be hiding. #2 There's a world beyond what we can see and touch and that world lives by it's own law's.What may be impossible in this very ordinary world is very possible there, and sometimes the boundaries between the two worlds disappear and then who is to say what is possible and impossible? #3 "Of the beginnings and the Gods" "A worthy subject,Faldor, but a dry and Dusty one" #4 Don't be too surprised if that other world someday chooses you to do something that must be done--some great and noble thing.
Garion in Pawn of Prophesy #1 Aunt Pol,Why don't you marry Durnik? I think it would be an awfully good idea. #2 I think I'd rather live in the ordinary world,The other one sounds too complicated
Polgara in Pawn of Prophesy:#1 from now on leave the thinking to grown-ups. #2 I've noticed that you find all subjects dry and dusty,Old Wolf.

Not a quote cos it's 5 years and several hundred books since I read the Belgariad but I still work on the idea that, if someone asks whose turn it is to cook, then it must be their turn. Works a treat for almost any job. Think it was Durnik but not sure

That one come's from the elenium and it is from Ulath the Genidian knight. He didn't have to cook cause it was his "job" to keep track of who's turn it was--very good--

Poledra :#1 Did you really come all this way just to get a story? Couldn't you find anything better to do--Have another baby or something? #2 We wolves rely on our instincts;Human's need instruction You've spent most of your life caring for the young and ---instructing them--so you know what's required. #3 You still have a great deal to learn,my daughter.Don't you know by know there's no such thing as privacy among wolves? We share everything.

How about " I love you Aunt Pol " " I know dear "
Is it just me or does Polgara sound a bit off when she says that ?

I alway's thought so too....maybe it is because we got so use to the emotional Pol but it always seemed so ...cold and distracted to me.

That many "wet brats" would definately tend to change a person,I wonder how she kept them from running together in her mind.

Hi! Just a quick message. I recently visited the illustrator for the europe/British versions of 'David Eddings', [Geoff Taylor]. He illutrated ALL the David Eddings Books, and if you have seen the covers of the 'Belgarath The Sorcerer', and 'Polgara The Sorceress' books, you will no doubt know that he is an ecomplished artist! After seeing him me and my brother decided to purchase the 'original' painting of 'Belgarath the Sorcerer', which was for sale. After my mum decided it would be good to make a pair, and foot the bill and also bought 'Polgara the Sorceress' !!! Weird eh! You should see them they are AMAZING!!! You know they are bigger than you would think, the Belgarath is 36 inches high by 48 inches wide !!!, the Polgara is slightly smaller on all sides by about 5 inches. Any how if you want to see them do! You are free to visit them at my mums house where they are on display in the visitors bedroom in my mums B&B above each bed. It's £25 per head per night at West cowes, Isle Of Wight, at 1 Lammas Close. Just Ask for Briony!!! Or Tel:- 01983 282541. You don't really have to pay for the night if you want to see them as my mum knows the score and will definatly let you see them if you really want to! Ha!! Any way enough of that, Can't wait for the next Eddings Epic, Hope he rights another book in the Althalus world, alot of scope there I think...? Maybey..... Any how you all take care! Hi! Yeah I feel lucky too, I mean I grew up with these books, and then to meet the artist in person and then purchase some of the originals!!! I still cant believe it! You are certainly welcome to visit and view the pictures if you ever find your self in our part of the world etc. But you dont have to be here to corespond with Geoff, and purchase his art (originals). Visit his website, where you can see and contact him regarding purchasing his paintings (or the ones for sale). There are still quite alot for sale including the 'Rivan Codex' and 'Guardians of the west', as well as 'Althalus' and more. Most go for around £700, or £1000 like the Belgarath. Here is the web address:- www.geofftaylor@btinternet.co.ukRegards, Jamie Lovell

Hi, Yes! You can definatly contact him there, he is a very open guy and would be willing to talk to you about your inquirys for your 'aV' etc. He as I know him is very friendly, and will entertain anyone as long as your polite ( were all English right Ha!!), but no really he is a great guy and once you get to know him you will know him as a friend! I am sure if you contacted him he will be happy to entertain any questions or thoughts that you may have and you can go from there. If you want to contact him here is his email address, as I think that the link I posted for his Web Site didnt work from this forum (but I triple checked and it is the accurate address for it??). Any how just type 'Geoff Taylor' into google and you will get the link!!! Here is the email address so you can send a quick message to Geoff. :- Email:- geofftaylor.enquiry@btinternet.com Regards, Jamie and Tim Lovell
