These books just beg to be read and read and re-read, The whole concept of Epic Fantasy at it's best. King's, Quests, Knights, Princesses, Magic, Sorcerer's, Prophesies, Monsters, Rogues, Barbarian's, and God's all wrapped together and seen as never before. A whole world of fantasy and it's danger's Definately not for kid's anymore.Think the Star Wars of Fantasy.

Have re-read the Belgariad and Mallorean's (for the7th or 8th time--LOL--) and I don't believe how much of the nuance the reader picks up. Every time you read them you start to laugh out loud at something you have missed all the other times(ask my husband he starts to get irritated at me when I start laughing).

I have to agree, I think these books are great. I 'm glad in my last job I had to kill 90 mins in a train every day, gave me time to read a lot of books!!!
I wonder what it would be like if the Belgarid was turned into a film or better yet several. Often thought who would play what part. Has anyone got any ideas?
I thought that maybe Sean Connery would be good as Belgarath.
