Yes friends it a sad day a favorite cast member has died on Andreas Katsulas died February 13, 2006. He was 59 years old. Andreas Katsulas is not a household name. You probably know the face from "The Fugitive". You may even recognize the
voice, often compelling and hypnotic. But on these pages you will see that he is more than the "bad guy" that Hollywood has
chosen him to portray.
An accomplished stage actor in experimental and improvisational theater, his talents are under-used by those in the
entertainment business. And, hopefully, you'll come to understand why so many of us are more than mere fans but great
admirers of him as an actor and a person.
he will be missed

Here his Bio Andreas Katsulas is not a household name. You probably know the face from "The Fugitive". You may even recognize the voice, often compelling and hypnotic. But on these pages you will see that he is more than the "bad guy" that Hollywood has chosen him to portray.
An accomplished stage actor in experimental and improvisational theater, his talents are under-used by those in the entertainment business. And, hopefully, you'll come to understand why so many of us are more than mere fans but great admirers of him as an actor and a person.
Born May 18, 1946, actor Andreas Katsulas originally hails from St. Louis, MO, of working-class Greek and American heritage. He became hooked on acting when he was 4 years old and his mother took him to a local community theater. After high school he attended St. Louis University, paying his way through school with various jobs, including waiting on tables. He ended up earning a drama fellowship at University of Indiana, Bloomington (considered one of the top 6 schools of theatre in the nation) where he received his masters in theater arts.
Upon completion of his degree he performed with the St. Louis (Loretto-Hilton) Repertory Theater and then with the Theatre Company of Boston. At that time he moved to New York City and began work in truly innovative theater at the avante-garde off-off-broadway theater La Mama. Ellen Stewart recommended Andreas to Peter Brook, who was starting a new experimental theatre troupe in Paris. Andreas stayed with Brook and the other actors for 15 years despite times, such as the "Conference of the Birds" tour of Africa, when he wanted to quit out of frustration and sheer exhaustion. He considers his time with Brook as an "unparalleled" experience, recalling Brook tell the troupe to "aspire to the character."
During one hiatus director Michael Cimino cast Andreas in the movie "The Sicilian", a small part that was throughout the picture. Andreas was encouraged by Brook to use this opportunity as a springboard to movies and he moved to Los Angeles. Within weeks he had an agent and another role in "Someone To Watch Over Me". Even though he had done a few films prior to these two he stayed in Los Angeles to continue his craft.
Over the years Andreas has appeared in over 25 made-for-tv movies and feature films, from drama to action to comedy to science fiction, and his newest film "A Piece of Eden", a family movie, recently premiered in selected theaters. He has appeared in 13 television shows, most notably as the character of G'Kar on "Babylon 5" and four episodes of "Star Trek:The Next Generation" as Romulan Commander Tomalak.
