SAT. JUNE 26/2004/13:18 E.S.T.
The first FSQ™ interview conducted by an Australian can be found on Page 12 in THE TRICORDER™ VOL. 1, #7 @ the following URL:
www.geocities.com/andertonbargo/Magellan/logsnletter_e.html
Many thanks to MR. ALAN ANDERTON of U.S.S. MAGELLAN, & to the staff of THE TRICORDER™ for their unflagging hard work & support for our programme. I hope to be able to repay their kindness when we attend our first Australian convention, if not sooner.
I was especially pleased to see that the article included a photograph of some Roman-style leather armour crafted by MR. ADAM SMITH of , who shall be flogging his wares in the dealers’ room @ TORONTO TREK I8, next week. MR. SMITH has done some very fine work over the course of his career (including the leather bracers that I like to wear whenever I engage in swordplay!), but he will achieve global notoriety for his work on RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE™ & STARHUNTER™. I shan't be @ all upset if he is engaged to work on FINNEGAN'S SQUAD™, since there is much he could do in all the episodes I have read, if our Designer & Executive Producer can be persuaded of my position.

The article is well written and really peaks one's interest. The questions were well thought out as well as the answers.

LADYTASS,
Thank you for taking the time to read it.
One cannot help but respond well to intelligent questions, so the interviewer complemented my own position, rather than being hostile to it, as other reporters have done in print.
The fact that he took the time to do some accurate research beforehand was also quite telling in terms of his professionalism.

Yes it was quite apparent that he took the article seriously as well as you. The author made it seem alot friendlier than some articles about Sci-fi I have read.

All of which compelled me to be far more candid than I might normally have been. So often, an interviewer comes into the situation with an agenda that might have nothing whatsoever to do with oneself or the reason why one is there as the subject of an interview in the first place.
