Sounds like an experience to really look forward too. And... Cardiff .... that's also a bit of a Dr. Who spotting, there ;D Have fun ... and be careful out there daxmaryrussel (who have yet to listen to the War of The Worlds cd:s yes, I am a bit ashamed) --- No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own;...

That's not the concert show. The one you are talking about is the large-scale show in China in 2007 (which will Tour). The concerts will no doubt have a Fighting Machine and Thunder Child battle but I doubt it will be lage-scale as they are playing smaller venues.... I've got tickets booked for the Cardiff Gig!! ;D Can't wait to see the FIVE fighting machines they'll have on stage AND the Thuderchild battle!

Got my tickets too for the NEC arena on 19/4 and really looking forward to it. Should be interesting to see "In sight & sound, Richard Burton as the Journalist" considering he's dead
Should be good though, will leave a message to let you all know what it was like

Went to see WOTW live at the NEC on Wednesday and I can sum it up in 1 word - AWESOME!!
At the back there was a full screen right across the stage and a fighting machine came down from the rafters with it's legs somewhere in the orchestra pit.
Phil Lynott was replaced by Russell Watson, David Essex by Alexis James & Julie Covington by Tara Blaise. Justin Hayward & Chris Thompson were magnificent and the technographics were brilliant.
There was the 48 piece ULLAdubULLA string Orchestra and the Black Smoke Band (including both Herbie Flowers and Chris Spedding on guitar) to provide the music. Richard Burton was brought to life by means of a 10 foot face-like disc onto which was projected his face. They had then photographed the mouth of an actor who looked like Richard Burton and somehow edited it in to the face. The dubbing was good but not perfect.
All in all 10 out of 10 and would love to see it again.
The wife & I hope to exhibit our T-Shirts at Milton Keynes next Saturday

Saw it in newcastle and i give it 10/10. a 30 ft fighting machine on stage with its death ray scanning the crowds was fanstastic. russell watson was spot on. but my best of the best was Alexis James ,I wonder if he needed to go to hospital for hitting all the high notes.Me thinks his underwear was a little tight. And richard burton head was spooky ,it kept winking at me even when he was not talking.
