The latest ish was a great b'day gift, arriving as it did on my 41st.
1. Where does one sign up to serve aboard the Anubis? I'm thinking it's got a "...Forward" lounge on EVERY deck!
2. You lucky (sea) dog, getting to 'cast from that! It must've been quite the adventure spinning vinyl on the high seas! Did you ever scratch one due to prevailing conditions?

Hey Dale, join the line up........it is a FAB ship though....and I'd love to know the identity of the sender, as soon as I saw it was a Constitution Refit (my absolute fave ship) called Anubis I suspected someone close to home ;D......but nobody has owned up. It matches my model of NCC-1701A to a tee.......I'd spend all my time aboard.....who'd need shore leave. Speaking of which, on the good ship Peace our US made turntables and arms were more than able to track vinyl at a 33 degree angle, those Shure cartridges (M 75) were bullet proof. The jock would fail (big bucket number)in high seas before the gear ;D Yeah Dale, it was a gas, land based radio is sooooo different, too many suits around. At sea, no suits, it was broadcast staff and broadcast engineers plus ships crew and Captain. Senior DJ was often the Music Progammer too....and we had so much time to sun bathe and drink ice cold beer . Hey, if you ever get to Britain Dale...promise...I'll take you aboard one of the most famous offshore radio ships in the world....MV Ross Revenge....home to Radio Caroline...my alma mater. Happeee Birthdaaaaay ;D
