Greetings fellow trekkers I'm not sure you know about sevtrek - it's an Australian site who pokes fun at most scifi and Star Trek in particular and the drawings and text are just on the spot (or Subplot as sev would say) - they've changed names on characters (Kes is Cuss... Scotty - Squatty... Wolf 359 - Whoops 47 ;D etc. The names in themselves are hilarious ~more further down~). At one of our club gatherings we had hundreds of sev cartoons printed and put them in the stairs up to the cinema - and people forgot to go in and watch Star Trek on big screen, they stood in the stairs reading! Some sev names of scifi series: Dr Whatshisname ;D, Spandexman, Fraud of the Rings , Hairy Plopper ;D, Bluffy, Sevylon 5, Battlesev Galaxative and of course Sev Trek, Sev Wars, Sevgate, Sev Dwarf etc Unfortunately they've started to charge to view old items at their site but I guess they have to make a living. cartoons.sev.com.au/Sev-Space/Sev-Trek/However, there are still alot of funny sev trek out there. Here are two Trek names - Hilariously Renamned Classic Star Trek - Jurassic Sev Trek Star Trek: The Next Generation - Sev Trek: The X Generation Enterprise - Enterforaprize The Motion Picture - The Slow Motion Picture The Wrath of Khan - The Rant of Kahn't The Search for Spock - The Spoof of Spook The Voyage Home - The Voyeur Home The Final Frontier - The Infernal Frontier (your fav, Don - enjoy new apt name ;D) The Undiscovered Country - The Rediscovered Franchise Generations - Degenerations First Contact - Forced Contract Insurrection - Indigestion Nemesis - Nearmiss ( or a total miss) All names here: cartoons.sev.com.au/sevnames.php?catid=4 Check back in tomorrow for more fun stuff - or add your own favourites. daxmaryrussel -- "See you out there!" Q - All Good Things...one last sev: and for those of you who wants to practise your French. (finally some people who appreciates my cooking. they think dying at the table is an honourable death.)

Years ago the highways of Britain featured billboards with a charicature of Spock, drawn by Philip Castle. A fan sent him this picture of a billboard with a bungalow in the background and...........

Star Trek Experience is selling a new, fun T-shirt. If you're wearing a red shirt - RUN! ;D Is there a reason they changed the colours around in TNG and onwards? Since the captains started to wear red, less red shirts were killed? This is a must-buy? www.startrekexp.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=1264daxmaryrussel -- "Being a red-blooded human obviously has its disadvantages." Spock - Miri

STAR TREK MEETS MAD MAGAZINE - remember good old MAD Magazine? (I do, but not this particular issue, since it's too old ;D First published in MAD - Issue #115 Dec. 1967) At the Star Trek Animated series there is a "Star Blecch" section. Check out the pic below and go to startrekanimated.com/mad_01.html and read the whole story Their transporter doesn't seem as safe as it should be daxmaryrussel -- "They vanished! They got onto the transporter platform and they just vanished!" "I presume you mean they vanished in a manner not consistent with the usual workings of the transporter." Hey dax...........you gotta stop digging out my childhood memories........your making me feel old ;D MAD magazine was one of my favourite reads back in the day, Alfred E Neuman's goofy face on the cover, but inside, some of the best satire and spoofs in print. I don't think it was ever more than a minority read in Britain, but in the USA I believe it was a huge success....thanks for the memories dax That new shirt is outasight dax, I'll nip over to the Experience and see if it in my size. Might get one for my outings to The Black Horse. I gotta find some gags and jokes for your cartoon page...I do get them, but forget to mark them for future use. Hope your flight home was ok, great to see you in the Horse again......Great Maker knows I could not stop drinking the London Porter......it was so cold it was going down like traditional ice cream.....and I drank the two I took out to watch 'Enterprise' at 12 midnight on my video. Brian's folder was good, I loved the 'Voyager' schematics....very sharp. I'll have to come to Gothenburg and spend a night in Paddingtons bar and try some of the brews in the house. See if you find more 'MAD Magazine' Trek charicatures, I know they did a lot of them from 1966 to 1970.

Hi dax and Posse ;D Dax...that shirt, its only $19.99 but they don't show a postage rate. Thats a darn good price.......all sizes too Mmmmm, I'll find out the post rate later, might get the shirt, but I love the flagons, mugs and glasses they are selling....whole brand new line.....expensive looking but cheap to buy. Did you check the auction page dax, the genuine Klingon uniform trousers don't show the Reserve price....strange way to run an auction, its not like eBay. The bids are derisory too, I bet Paramount want at least $150 for each pair of trousers, they are, after all, genuine Klingon props from Paramount Studio. Does that mean the Klingons don't feature in future Trek......or will Garak run them up some new sexy suits........cue music...V/O 'and here's Worf, in a lovely off the shoulder number...... ';D Oooooh, Michael Dorn would really be pissed at me if I re-enact that for him ;D Live Long and Prosper daxmaryrussel.

Yes, I got home alright eventually - with more bags than I had coming to London ;D and I got 2 half days with good weather. I'd better stay over here the rest of the year so you guys will have good weather. LOL I will definately look for more Mad and other mad cartoons - glad you liked it. Mmm the fun t-shirt is quite cool What I'd like to see really is that fashion parade on Garak's catwalk you mention - full of Klingons in different klingon outfits I saw in another part of the forum that the last ep of Enterprise will be on Sky soon - so I thought this pic will take you right back to the beginnings of Enterprise and that (in)famous detox gel. Poor Wes By the way check out that other post - there is a link to the Ent last ep trailer which is quite cool (the trailer, not the link) bighairykev.proboards30.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=startrek&thread=1120141093&page=1#11201410931120141093I'm still very tired after a few too many beers at The Black Horse, so will post some pictures from the convention later. Live long... and go boldly... daxmaryrussel -- "How are you holding up, Old Man?" "All things considered, I think I'd rather be on Risa."
