EDITOR'S NOTE - Taken from another section where the news was broken
Barry posted...
"Sorry I've not been on for a while but as you'll see, things have kept me away. Jonathan was rushed into hospital on March 3rd with chest pains and died on March 5th. The day before his birthday. It's hit us all hard so I wasn't online much.
In his last few hours he was talking about how much this club meant to him, and how much he loved the people who accepted him on here. For that, you have my eternal thanks. He finally found a home, as he'd said a few times before.
In hospital, I asked him who he would meet if he could meet anyone in the world, expecting the guy who plays Picard or Data. You know what he said? "I'd like to meet Hairy and shake his hand."
Towards the end he looked far away. Dad asked what he was thinking and his words tore me apart inside and will stay with me forever. "I'm dreaming of flying through the stars." I asked what for and he patted his chest gently and said "Practice." He then fell asleep and died half an hour later.
I thought you'd all want to know."

EDITOR'S NOTE - Also copied from same sectionI posted... "I really don't know what to say - obviously you have my deepest sympathy- Jonathan was a welcome addition to the Members on here- and will be sorely missed.
"...and then later... "Sorry - but that's really hit me hard - especially him wanting to meet me - and his final words are incredible.
And I'd like to say to Jonathan - this IS your home - as much as anybody elses here - but it'll seem so much less without you "

Oh my god! I'm really sorry to hear that a member has died. I've just joined and will never get the chance to exchange messages with him. It's so sad. I was looking at his posts and it looks like he was a STAR WARS fan just like me. He'll never see EpIII and was probably desperate to see the final installment.

Talk about starting on a downer! (new to the forum) Really sorry a fellow fan has been lost. We'd have probably got on really well. My deepest regrets to his family.

I grok the fullness of the totality.
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
BHK,
You can rest assured that you have earned a great deal of Kharma points by touching him in that way, & by allowing the rest of us to be a part of his experience here on Terra, however briefly.
POST SCRIPTUM: The correct spelling is "Remembrance" & "JONATHAN", actually....

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth, And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds, I've done a hundred things you have not dreamed of. Wheeled, and soared, and swung, high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along, And flung my eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace, Where never lark, or ever eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind, I've trod the high, untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
