I always thought Michael Keaton had the part just right - both as Batman AND Bruce Wayne - he portrayed him as a dark, brooding, solitary character - perfect

Of course - this is just my opinion - if you preferred someone else - tell us why and what you liked about them

From the list you provided, I selected MR. VAL KILMER, but I think & feel that MR. ADAM WEST has been the closest to capturing the DCTM/National Periodical PublicationsTM experience on film for me.
I'm very curious to see & hear what MR. CHRISTIAN BALE does in the role(s) of THE BATMANTM/BRUCE WAYNE, largely on the basis of his excellent work as the Protagonist of EQUILIBRIUMTM.

For my vote it has to be Keaton, He has alway's had a strange sense of...maybe I would call it style(?) that has been attached to him, he is an excellent actor that is very good range for characters but he was definately the best Batman.

I found him to be a great JIMMY OLSEN.

Might I ask that you include *SPOILER WARNINGS* next time you reveal major intel about films & series that others have yet to see for ourselves? Thank you.
Am I to infer that you prefer MR. NEAL ADAMS'S interpretation of THE BATMANTM?

Welcome Klagnon9 - spoilers are very welcome here - it's one of the main reasons these Boards were created - but some people avoid spoilers - so put some kind of "SPOILERS" warning at the start of any such post and we should be cool with it ;D

These things happen; I'm over it. I wasn't presuming to speak for *everyone*, only for myself, as I find it difficult to avoid spoiler intel, due to the nature of my business, so I prefer to remain unspoiled whenever & wherever possible.
I recall reading the original RA'S AL GHUL™ stories drawn by MR. NEAL ADAMS when I was a lad, thrilling to the adventures of THE BATMAN™ that went far beyond the scope of what MR. ADAM WEST had been permitted to do on his highly entertaining TV series. The sequence wherein THE BATMAN™ tangled with the trained leopard was especially impressive to me.
I cannot claim to have any love for that particular Antagonist, but I do enjoy what's being done with TALIA during this summer's VILLAINS UNITED™ miniseries.

Michael Keaton was the best by far. BARNABAS,
Welcome to the domain!
I found M.K.'s BRUCE WAYNE to be JIMMY OLSEN with dark hair, but I loved what was done with THE BATMAN™ in BATMAN: DEAD END™, which is a film that you should definitely see, if you have not done so, already.
