Ok so this area is pretty quiet but I am assuming there's a few gamers lurking there amongst you who are just shy and haven't already joined me at Thumb Bandits for gaming waffle So with this in mind I'm starting this thread on what I believe is one of the best games of the year.. yes.. it's Lego Star Wars. I realise this game has had some majorly crap reviews because of the time taken to play it.. but.. i can safely say I disagree. I've just finished reviewing this title for my site (published early next week) and in order to do so have played it and completed the entire thing and it wasn't easy, nor did it take 4 hours as suggested by a magazine I usually take as gospel. Sure it's fairly short if you run through it and it's non taxing gameplay BUT it is bloody brilliant in its charm and fun, I can safely say I've not had this much fun or want in a game for a VERY long time. Getting to play through Revenge of the Sith and see that story unfold was also fun. For a star wars fan this title is a must. Anyone else got it?

Totally agree, one of the best Star Wars titles so far.
Yeah you can play through the game story pretty quickly, it's not much of a challange, but that isn't the point of the game, the real game is completeing everthing, picking up all the extras and unlocking the full game which is just a riot.
And like you said the game has real charm, you just want to keep playing the levels with the vast host of unlockable characters, of which Jango is my fave, the galaxys hardest bounty hunter as a little stumpy lego figure. he he.

Hi Hound.. great to see someone else who tasted the delights of Star Wars Lego and enjoyed it also without getting pedantic about the lack of depth *yawn*. I think it was and still is brilliant. I wrote my review and tried to cover my backside as it were, but in the end I didn't care... because this was gaming genius!
