Well, where could I start. If you're getting an Xbox I would suggest getting broadband in some fashion as this opens up to a world of fun. Then you can get Xbox Live and play me and a bunch of guys I hang out with online. www.splik.com/kkGames to get include HALO (get it cheap), HALO 2(Make sure you get through HALO first), Crimson Skies, Burnout 3 (this is fast), Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic I and II. I don't go into puzzles much and strategy games tend to work better on the PC simply through control via mouse rather than joypad.

One of the best out there in my opinion is, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind Game of the year edition. excellent RPG, you can go anywhere in this land and do anything, you can become any class and any multiple of classes you want to, It is ADnD come to a real platform base. I have played this game for over 2 and a half YEARS I just keep going back to it. you don't have to be pigeon-holed into just one quest, there are literally thousands of different quests to do in it, and there are thousands of quests you can do if you don't want to do the main quest. Want to become head of the fighters guild, then go do it, want to be head of the thieves? you can be, also if you do not choose to be a member of any guild then so be it, there are literally 50+ smugglers cave's to take over and get treasure. Love it. Another one that is just plain fun and funny is Bards Tale, I love the intermission. The dancing orc's are just too funny, and the interaction between the narrator and the main character are absolutely a hoot.It is more of a common RPG as in you only have certain quests you can do and the order you have to do them in.
