Did anyone watch 'Hex' when it was on?
I watched most of it but missed the last couple of episodes (though they are sitting on my Sky+ box waiting for me).
What did people think of it? It was supposed to be 'the British Buffy' or at least that's what the PR for it was suggesting prior to its release, even the character portraits etc resembled a similar style to Buffy.. but it just didn't have that same Buffy style.

I watched the first episode but it didn't quite grab me - Colin Salmon turned in his usual great performance - but that was it really - and it was a shame that every bit of action and special effects were in the advert for it

They will do anything to get the public to watch something. Tyring to liken it to Buffy was a huge mistake. I saw the first episode and thought it was rubbish. Maybe I should have given it another try but I am afraid it was not my thing.

GG,
I've never seen HEXTM, as it was never broadcast here in Canada, to my knowledge, but I would have liked to see it on the basis of what I've read in this thread.

Sadly I never watched those last two episodes since a certain teenager in the house decided to remove them from Sky+ beofre I had the chance *grumble grumble*
I was a little bummed about it but then I figured it may get a lame DVD release at some point and I'll probably buy it if it's cheap.
It's a shame it's not been shown in Canada but then a lot of great TV comes out of Canada, maybe they like the good stuff to go out and the bad stuff to stay out LOL

Family taped this for me thinking I might like it. After keeping it for me until I visited the Uk I have to say they wasted their time. I was very disappointed in it, but that is only my opinion.

Dreamcatcher I have to agree with you again Dreamcatcher - it wasn't what I was hoping it would be. I think the publicity saying it was a "British Buffy" was bad for it.

I saw a couple of episodes but it was not what I was expecting. I think the person who labelled it a the British Buffy had actually seen another series and not this one.

Newbie here...I watch "Hex" on BBCAmerica. In advertisement of the show(here)there was never any mention of Buffy similarity. So far it looks like I'm one of the few that enjoys the show...
