I read some posts about Mr Shater and none where complimentary, apparently he got through 600 people in half an hour by simply not talking to anyone or even looking at them.
Did any of you have the Shatner experiance?
(I wonder what he'll be like at the SFBall.)

We were made to walk quickly past him to grab your autograph - he didn't look up or talk to us - not what I was hoping for - I did stick my hand out to shake his hand and he touched me! Everyone else I met there was FANTASTIC ! We met some great new friends (who we hope will join the Forum) and Susieg & I had to chance to ask some stars to become Honorary Members of EDF - they make awesome additions to our community family here - and I'll be announcing them later in a new section dedicated to Honorary Members

Did any of you have the Shatner experiance? (I wonder what he'll be like at the SFBall.) To say he got throught the queue at warp factor 10 would be an understatement! I have no problem with him making money from this event and also the fact that time restrictions on each fans experience may mean more will be able to meet him, but this just insulted everyone there. Any factory would have been proud of the efficient way this production line was run. Whilst standing in line were were told!! what we had to do and to keep moving the line. We were to hand our items to be signed to a certain female who would pass this to Mr Shatner who would then sign it. I got almost a second's glance at him before we were herded out. No pictures were allowed and certainly no eye contact as he never raised his head (at least whilst I was there) I can believe he got through 600 in half an hour as the rate we saw him sign was astounding I had travelled almost 300 miles (with a bad back to boot) just to meet this man. I wont make that mistake again. But I did managed to snap him as he was being ushered out of the signing booth (the organisers seemed to be paranoid about us getting any kind of image on film So here is the photo (best I could get) Susieg

Clarity in colours and good light, and the fact that you managed to snap a pic when he was in warp speed... well that deserves some extra points ;D Sorry to hear that the experience was like this. I guess the "old guys" have to do their stuff in warp speed now to be able to write as many autgraphs as possible before they kick the bucket (I'm sorry to say). Would be better for all if they left some good memories for the fans behind instead. Well, well.. Who else did you meet? daxmaryrussel

Bonnie Langford attended one day at C8, she told Sandi Toksvig, today on 97.3 LBC, that Shatner was signing SIX autographs a minute and that the day she attended he was on £30 per picture . He only moved so much because he was determined to avoid all photography.......and casual shots are anathema to him. My advice.......see Shatner when he is giving a lecture or presentation, like Creation 2 in London. He was fun, agreeable and obliging.......all the things he was NOT at C8. If he had done Galileo 7 he might have been more fun too........clearly.....C8 was just a plunder trip, how Ferengi.

Bonnie Langford was a joy to meet. She was chatty and had no problem posing. We were very impressed with her, she asked if we had been there all day and when we said we had attended Sat and Sun she asked how we were and commented on how tired we we must be with all of the walking around. I have to say she is as bubbly off screen as she seems on screen and I am pleased BHK wanted to meet her.

Oh yes - Bonnie Langford was one of the best to talk to at C8 - she instantly treated us like close friends. WE LOVE YOU BONNIE

I'm glad it had some very good points for you guys! I skipped this one so we can go to the Collectormania G-Mex in Feb - the other end of the country to where Mr Shatner will be at that time!
