Hi. I've been watching season 1 of Torchwood here in the U.S. and got interested enough in the show to find a message board. So, this is my first stop since joining up. Wanted to say hi, hope to be talking to some of you about the show.

Have you seen the whole season yet? What did you think?
I had expected it to be more about Captian Jack, but seemed that Gwen had the 'biggest' role? Did think that was a bit odd.

I have three episodes left of Season 1. Hopfully we'll start seeing Season 2 over here soon.
Gwen did seem to get a lot of air time, but there have been character centric episodes besides her. And, even if Jack isn't in a episode, he's still the main show in my mind. He is a mystery that is slowly being discovered.
(Obviously, from my login name, my favorite character is Owen.)

Hi Everyone -
I don't do message boards too often, but this one looks pretty well rounded in terms of the range of topics. I have been interested in Science Fiction since I was a kid and now teach a variety of classes - Anthropology of Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones and others. This January my new Star Wars class goes online here. I also speak at conventions and host workshops/panels on these topics.
I have to still get caught up on the new Clone Wars though since I have been spending my Friday evenings watching the baseball playoffs.

Hello Daryl, Welcom abord!! I've not seen any of the clone Wars either, not even the movie!! I'll get round to it one day. I usually only get time to see very few movies at the cinema, so far just the 4th Doctor Jones movie this year!! My 3 year old enjoyed it!! What is your favourite, if you could only pick one, would it be Star Wars, Star trek etc?

Hi Arbo -
Nice to meet you here. I am pretty new to message boards and such. I work so much that I really never get the time.
I did get to see Clone Wars in the theater, but have not caught the Friday night ones yet on Cartoon Network. I have to get caught up one of these days.
I enjoyed this last Indiana Jones film - it was fun. I think since I am in anthropology though I noticed a couple of quirky things with the linguistics and locations of cultures. I am going to cover all the real archaeology associated with the franchise though in the Spring class, just as I like to do at cons now. So I am pretty excited. I think the toughest part has been trying to find some good books on the Jones Franchise.
Wow, what a tough question! I gerw up loving Star Trek, but also then Star Wars and Jones. I go through periods when I do favor one over the other though I think. I'd say though if I had to really really choose - it would come down to Star Wars!
That was what was so neat about finding this site - it has it all. I have never seen that before.
How about yourself? Any favorites? What did you think of the new Jones film?
