LOL@SgtK. Now a little ribbing is ok, but lets not give the new crew too hard a time eh? LoL but that was good natured. TY Thena, for the Bio. I will take a look at it now and pm you for your assignment And don't let the Sr. Staff give you too much guff, after all, if they can give you a ribbing, they can take a bit of a ribbing back right? LOL

On the topic of telling Time, It probably won't be real necessary to worry about time keeping unless we have an eta or deadline to worry about. The timestamp on the message will be telling, but most ppl know RPG's are not very accurate for time nyway. As far as the Julian time system, it seems like a pretty long string of numbers, but i'm still looking into various other ideas too, so everyone take a look at that one and sound off in here if you like or dislike the Julian system. For now i'm just putting in like ETA 2 hrs etc...

Julian Time sounds good to me,are we going to use our time(as in know) or the 24th century?

LOL Good Question. So if we were to use Star Trek Time, starting shortly after Nemesis, we would need to convert the Stardate last given in that movie to Julian time, then figure 6-8 mths later is when we got our orders? Opinions?

Stardate for nemisis is 56844.9(Star Trek.com info) which makes it Saturday August 20 4558 9hr36min0sec in a julian date--kind of late to use it as a julian date-lol-boy is that late-lol-

4558? Wow, that must not be the formula then huh. I mean, Star Trek First Contact was supposed to take place in 2373. Well, lets just make this up then. We will start from the year 2375, and it will be today so the Stardate would be the 22475 for the 22nd day of the 4th month of the year 2375. Then we will put the time after the . so my local time, since I am the Captain, is right now 12:48 am. So the full Stardate with time is 22475.14 meaning the 22nd day of the 4th month of the year 2375, in the 1st hour of the day, 4th quarter of the hour. Does this make sense to everyone? Opinions?

that does sound closer, and if you could lay it out so I can see how it is converted or post a link to the explanation or a website i'd be willing to go with that. also be aware GirlyGamer is interested in becoming a crewmember and is feeling new to this. Please make GirlyGamer feel welcome and help her find her niche in our crew!

We do not currently have Helm/Nav or Ops covered. Chief of Engineering needs covered as well as some crew for engineering. I do not know why no one is posting anymore, but I plan to get this rpg moving regardless so anyone who gets left behind will have to catch up later on. I may have to write up some thing about people transferring off and on the ship to get a crew in here that actually wants to continue playing. Anyway, thank you for your patience and let me know what part you'd like to play.

Just wondered if it would be handy to have a thread where we all post our persons profile, that way we will know something about each other?
