Did anyone see the double episode on BBC2 last night? I thought it was super and one of the best new SF series I've seen for a long time. It's well written and has some good humour in it. It will need it, it's set in Cardiff (only joking).
I hope that as it goes on that it doesn't become totally obsessed with the story line, I hope it still keeps the human element such as showing you Gwen's boyfriend and liaising with the police force.
Dig the suped-up Range Rover they were travelling in, awesome machine!

I really enjoyed Torchwood too. Really gritty and "dirty". Defo for "grown ups" with all the swearung and sex references. Does everyone remember why Jack can't die? and who the hand belonged to?

Yes I agree a good show!! I'm guessing the hand belongs to the Doctor, it was cut off during the Christmas Invasion. I think Jack can't die as he was brought back to life (after being killed by the Daleks) by the time vortex (the power of the Tardis when Rose absorbed it).

There's no point in challenging anyone on BHK ;D I agee arbo... Not sure what you mean by that Valen Anyway, Torchwood is not really for me, but it's GREAT to see people chatting about it. I LOVE ACTIVITY ON HERE Despite me not liking it, it looks like Torchwood will do well, so ENJOY Everybody has different tastes in TV shows, there is no right and wrong to their opinions. Cheers, BHK ;D

Don't have a problem with it being in Geordie but it would need sub-titles for the less initiated

Please don't hate me for saying this, but I thought it was garbage. I watched the pilot and was truly hoping for something innovative and well written, but to me it came across as a bunch of hooey, with so many silly plot things happening and understated acting I wanted to put my foot through the computer monitor. (run on sentence record!)
Not that I am in ANY way putting down you guys that love it, we all have different tastes and I'm glad you really liked it. I just thought it was abysmal, on so many levels lol.

Although it will still automatically get the fans that love everything that's on TV in general.

I thought this week’s episode was a good one, nice to see them not saving the day and living happily ever after, like the shiny shiny world of star trek. And I thought it was good story, we’ve all seen things out of the corner of our eye, and I’ve had suspicions about fairies for awhile!!

This one was certainly differant, I thought it wasn't as good as the others, too much time with no action but I still think it's a great series

I'm not really a fan of torchwood- a couple of the episodes have been ok but some have been terrible. the countricide episode has been done to death in horror/comedies over the decades (hammer horror, american werewolf, league of gentlemen etc) and wasn't anything new.

Well, I found out why we'd been getting so much spam on here from Bejing! When this board was created, it was set so that anybody could post on it, without even registering. I've now corrected that. Moderators please note this, as it's quite vital
