Who is "Lotna"? Both Geordi and Cleo have mentioned them, but it sounds like another Club or something.

Who is "Lotna"? Both Geordi and Cleo have mentioned them, but it sounds like another Club or something. LOTNA is a very nice scifi social club in East London. No member fee and they meet twice a week. Their home is also a pub with the mention of the word "Horse" in it. The Horseshoe! What is it with scifi and "Horse pubs" ;D (Warp Core Preach - The West London Posse mets at The Black Horse bighairykev.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=WarpCorePreach ) LOTNA does a lot of fun stuff together - (they showed their outings to different scifi thing on picture posters at the convention - one was: they were all in their TNG uniforms in a rollercoaster shouting "Boldy go" quite fun I think). Their next project will be to go to the Hitchhiker exhibition at Science Museum with towels and having ducks in their ears or something similar I'll write more about them later when I have more time (at work now ) since I really like them and their idea of a social club (they work really hard with it too and I had some fantastic Star Trek discussions with one member who provided me with insights I never thought of before and there was me thinking I knew most Trek things . Their web site is: www.lotna.org.uk/ Check it out - they have stuff from the London Film Convention already... LLAP daxmaryrussel (who didn't have her camera with her to the Horseshoe on Saturday - will post pics from London Film Convention though... soon ) --- "It seems that some creatures have the capacity to fill spaces we never knew were empty." Geordilinka Super nice meeting you and cleo - Geordilinka, I really liked all your outfits - sometimes you were a klingon and and sometime a Mimbari (in a TNG uniform) ;D (I'm impressed you could cope with me since I was not feeling my very best on Saturday - hmm can I blame the rain? or maybe it was a lack of food ;D) cleo, with your sewing abilities I think you will make yourself a fantastic uniform or something scifi for the next convention! (no pressure) daxmaryrussel my self and cleo meet up at lfcc3 on sat. and went on to a LOTNA meeting more on that to come we also meet up on the sunday did not get any intell on the black horse meet up.so missed that......might have been able to fit it in.... But you and cleo got a special invitation from me but you were leaving the same evening so you couldn't make it (or maybe I only talked to cleo ) Brian, anubis and I met up at the Black Horse on Sunday afternoon - evening (and I missed the last train back - forgot it was Sunday, but luckily I got a lift back to the hotel curtesy of Don, another WCP member) I met up with geordilinka and cleo thanks to intel from anubis who pass geordi's communicator number on to me He couldn't reply because he was so busy talking to everyone who wanted to see a real klingon. cleo had to make the connection and it all worked very well. Sorry I missed zolly too - next time we have to be a bit earlier in starting our convention meet up communications here on the board! Do we need a designated Communications Officer? I agree - fantatic job on the klingon outfit. cleo made the make up in less than 20 minutes (you should really go to Hollywood - it takes them 4-6 hours there, I'm told) ;D CUTE! ;D - you looked good together Yes she did a great job! And you too in you're different outfits posing for everyone. Good questions too at the Ron Perlman talk! It was great fun meeting you guys - always fun to meet new trekker/scifi fans until next time daxmaryrussel --- The Horseshoe at Melior Street - LOTNA home The Black Horse - home of West London Star Trek Posse
