Are you bringing your keyboard with you? We can have a singalong. Otter makes a dreadful sound, with me close behind. My musician son plays trumpet, piano, flugelhorn & a bit of harmonica. He just started Trinity College of Music last week for a 4 year degree course. He is the only trumpeter on the course as there was only one place....... I may have to come & go early as if I want alcohol the 30 minute drive becomes 2 hours on the train & tubes.

No I won't be bringing any keyboards with me - it's not my gig Maybe one day I could come and do something at the Black Horse for a bit of fun - but I think the day already has lots going on without me butting in Anyway - I've just found out that it's going to be happening earlier than I thought as I'd assumed it was a night event and was aiming to arrive at 7pm - and it's going to take me five hours to drive there - so my original set-off time has taken a severe alteration - now I just have to break the news to my travelling companions for the journey - "uh-oh" We have the hotel from 2pm - so I reckon it's now an 8am start time for me as I have to collect my buddies which should take an hour or so

Hey Kev, Once you are here you can smell the coffee and judge wether you would like to gig here If you like the flavour, talk to Sam and sort something out.....maybe we should talk about this over a beer on Saturday. Now, I promise I'll only pour one London Porter into your glass to loosen your tongue, 'cos I know how painful Porter is to folks. But, if we have to torture a deal out of you then we will, and mark my words, we can pour more than one Porter into a glass. Scared yah huh! We can get more nasty, we can force feed you jerk chicken...providing it has not been consumed by me in the interests of public health, I'm concerned about the peoples welfare ;D Looking forward to seeing you mi amigo, the Bridge Hotel is a fine place, they serve Youngs real ales as part of room service, including Waggledance which used to be brewed on Tyne & Wear, so you will not go dry for a lack of a good brew. See you and Jenny, Otter at the gig,

Otter & I went to our first football match on Saturday - Man U v Fulham. We had tickets in the Fulham end so I kept it quiet I was a Man U supporter - there was only one scary swearing yobbo f'ing & c'ing all match who had bought his young son to witness his appalling language & threatening behaviour. The other Fulham fans were really nice. We won 3-2 and I was right behind the goal & saw all the balls whacking into the back of the net,. Shame I couldn't cheer for us but one of the Fulham players scored & got me points for my dream team so I clapped for him. Got otter & fans pics - the site will be updated tomorrow I think, thanks to Karen. This weekend we are at a Battlestar Galactica con - anyone else going? ??

Patrick was last year, Anita. This year we had Kate Mulgrew & Jamie Bamber and lots of others, including the guy who played the Gorn! The parties are brilliant. Sadly I could only party Friday as I had the lurgy. Just about lasted to after dinner coffee on Saturday. The people who go are all really friendly & the guy who played Boba Fett was very concerned about my lack of voice. Otter made lots of friends & he is now a Cult Otter.

Sorry to hear you were not feeling well. Trust you're better now. Otter was fine all the time and seemed to enjoy himself Wow Cult Otter! Ooops seems like I'm in a time warp or something (or could it be that I'm thinking of Patrick all the time ) Thanks for the update, Jenny! dax

I think of Otter a lot And true, I've kissed Otter but not Patrick ;D (not even a hug - see that's why I should like Robert Duncan O'Neil more than Patrick, at least he likes to hug me Of course, Otter is the best ) Otter avatar is really nice. dax

I forgot you liked Bob O Neill Dax ....just remember he is at the London Expo this year, I've sent the detail in WCP No.10. He is in good company too Jenny, did you and Otter have much trouble getting hotel accomodation for the Ball? I found it impossible to get a room in the hotel unless you booked a year in advance ;D, folks seem to book the next year before the Ball is finished. Love to know where you stayed, might be a plan for next year Love the Otter pics, he really is becoming a star in his own right.
