Sounds cool Some great classical guitar pieces out there. Hey BigHairyKev! Do you use tab? No I play everything by ear. As soon as I hear a piece of music I can play every part of it instantly. If I had a piece of paper for everything I performed, I'd never get into the house for them

yes, i have been playing fopr about 6 years but only in the last year i've been playing more difficult stuff, before then was playing mostly just chords... bob dylan, bob marley songs. I used to busk in Melbourne WOW! So you MUST be good to go busking! And Bob Dylan wrote some great strums. I once heard BigHairyKev playing Jimi Hendrix's version of Star Spangled Banner before one of his gigs on an electric guitar and I couldn't tell it from the original. Apart from a slightly longer hold in the middle as he adjusted a string. But, that proved it was live. He used it to warm up about an hour before people came in. But I was there and in total awe of all his gear. Are there any recordings you've made Somnamulist? I peeked at your website but didn't see any on there. It's just that I'd love to hear you play sometime.

I have an old acoustic but rarely have a play. I guess everyone has an acoustic somewhere in the house. I could never get the hang of chords so I twiddle little solos and leads when some buddies come along. Mainly along to whatever's on the CD player.

Any Guitarists out there?... Yeah me. I mainly play synths but have a few guitars here at the studio. Nothing flash, just basic guitars but they get the job done. I play acoustic, electric and various lutes mandolins banjos ukelele and such like.

banjo is fun to play, but some of those rolls are pretty tricky. i used to busk with a banjo player. our main song was dueling banjos but he knew a lot of old folk songs.
I have an electric grassroots explorer Guitar and amp I am trying to sell at the moment so i can get a fender strat and a cheap classical guitar, either that or an expencive classical guitar

I must admit that my guitars are nothing fancy - I get the sounds I need to record by use of effects units. Nearest I have to a Strat is a Tokai

have you recorded any of your compositions? Oh yeah - and I'm currently sorting them all out for re-release - YAY I've been releasing since 1985 and own Dizzy Lug'ole Records - when the revamped site is online - I'll let you know as it'll have some of my tracks to download for free
